TIFFANY+DOUG.ENGAGED

Phew, and people think it's wedding season...it's like engagement session season for me AND wedding season. This was a really fun, exciting with little bit of drama shoot. I decided not to post any "surprise" pictures but while we were shooting Tiffany's strap on her super cute summer dress broke. I was shooting while it happened, and both of their reactions were so hilarious. Of course no one had a safety pin, and we tried a few things, but she just had to change...but it was funny. Doug is cousins with my buddy Alissa with Better Than A Bridesmaid. She apparently put in a good word for me. =) I love these 2. They are goofy, down to earth, SO in love and were a blast to hang out with. I'm so excited to be a part of their wedding in November.

We started off in an alfalfa field out on a farm in Pasco.

I have never used hay as much as I did here -

Look what I put people through!!

My favorite

Doug has MAD booty shakin' skills!

Look at those heels - work it!

Doug looked like a T-Rex, not a bunny rabbit, in a position they got themselves in - I had to make fun of him, so then of course he played it up. =)

So sweet.

BROOKE + BRIAN = ENGAGED

I was so excited when I got the inquiry about this wedding. I was not able to photograph Brooke's sister Heather's wedding last year because my son was due right before it, but I did shoot her engagement session. I put on my blog post a little something about how Heather's sister was getting married...as a hint because I wanted to do it and I'm SO glad that I'm going to have the honor. Brooke's sister is married to the brother of one of my dearest friends' husband - so we're all tied together in some way. =)
Anyway, enough of my rambling on - we had a great time hanging out. It's so cute to be with couples who are so used to looking at the camera and smiling - I like to make them feel awkward by not doing that and seeing what they do. =) It's all in good fun and we had a lot of it. B&B are getting married shortly at Stone Ridge and it's going to be a great time! Here are a couple favorites -

Brian was blowing her hair out of the way - thanks! Too funny =)

A new favorite of mine:

Nice form huh?

I like to get people dirty =)

I love it close up too!

A favorite

I was just going through Tiffany & Doug's e-session photos and came across this one. When I saw it in my LCD that day I knew I was going to love it, and I do. The light was so nice, their expressions are so moody, and I love adding my post-process flair to an image like the texturing in this one. Not every picture has to be smiley, happy go lucky to make you smile. In this case, I just have to say wowee!!!!!! =)

More from their session to come -

CHRISTINA & MATT - APRIL 26

What an amazing experience. I had the pleasure of spending Christina & Matt's special day with them and their spectacular friends & family. It was a small & intimate, beautiful & emotional wedding and an absolute joy to photograph. We had an hour to photograph the couple & groups and it was a piece of cake. I was overwhelmed with the gratitude from a number of people there and was brought to tears more than a few times. I have never had a mother in tears thanking me - it was one of the most humbling experiences I've had and I will never forget it.
Christina was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed a few years ago and I was honored when she called me when it was her turn. She is so adorable, intelligent and when you speak to her she will make you feel as if there is no one else in the room. Matt has the most piercing blue eyes I have ever seen on a man. I had to stop shooting at one time and just tell him how seriously gorgeous his eyes are. My photos will not do them justice. I was totally distracted by them...I'm usually focusing more on the bride. =)
The Glover Mansion in Spokane is such an awesome place to have a wedding. It was rustic, yet elegant, and perfect for the occasion.
On a side note, this is probably TMI, but Chelee and I were in SO many of each others candid photos in this wedding. It was hilarious to look at in edit. Just thought I'd share.

The Glover Mansion was an amazing venue to photograph

Absolutely beautiful.

Dang those eyes are serious!

This is a re-creation of an engagement photo, too funny and too long to explain =)

1 hour = fabulous photos

Christina's 2 brothers switched turns walking her down the aisle. It was really sweet -

Married! =)

Some pics from our fun engagement session - love it!

Holly & Tim - OCTOBER 2005 - I wasn't blogging then. =)

Matt's dad ran out of champagne during all the sweet toasts...the best man took care of it

I love all the emotions at weddings.

Peace OUT!
